SHEFFIELD continued their impressive form with a six-try victory over Otley yesterday.

Sheffield started the game excellently, but a mix of key errors and brave defence from Otley stopped them scoring. In the 15th minute the pressure told as Callum Posa put Cammy Catleugh through a hole and he in turn found Elliot Fisher who looked like he would open the scoring. Otley’s Eion Crossland was found to have taken Fisher out high and a penalty try and a yellow was given.

Sheffield continued to dominate and were rewarded with a brace of tries from Rhodri Campbell, both from line-out mauls and a charge-down score from Will Burden. Otley replied with a penalty by Joe Rowntree to see the half out and a lead of 24-3 to Sheffield.

The second half started with the try of the day from the kick-off as Sheffield went the length of the field for Billy Wara to score.

Otley, though, scored a cracking try of their own via Jacob Holmes, but back came Sheffield with another outstanding score to Jake Hicklin. Otley pushed to get something out of the game and Harry Butler dotted down, but that was few and far between as Sheffield comfortably saw the game out.
