Groark aids hosts to open the Gate

A CLINICAL second-half performance from Billingham saw them secure a bonus-point victory.

An early Louie Groark score, following a Luke Wilson break, saw the men in Green take an early 7-0 lead, with Ryan Foreman adding the extras.

It was a Foreman pass which saw Ben Walton force his way over the line to score which Foreman also converted.

Harrogate gained momentum when Billingham were reduced to 13 men with two quick yellow cards. It was when Billingham had 15 men that saw Cam Edgar pick up a loose ball and run 65 metres to score.

As the second half started, Billingham exploded out of the blocks.

A Groark break from halfway saw him find winger Jonny Horner in space who cantered in to score. Billingham pushed forward again. Ryan Kirkbride brushing off defenders but was held just short.

Anth Jackson slipped through a ruck to score with Foreman converting. Harrogate pushed for a score and they got it when Josh Peace drove over with Olly Toomey converting.

Bilingham had the bit between their teeth and in the play a lovely pass found Joe Ross who turned it back inside for Horner to score his second of the game.
