FEW could have seen this result coming.
It was third top playing second bottom and, even though the strugglers were at home, the visitors were having their best season in many a year and were confident of another win.
Sheffield never came close. From the first minute to the last they were simply out-fought. Ionians began with a rediscovered determination, something that has seeped away during a generally disappoint-ing campaign, resulting in an early try for George Mewburn.
