Green shoots appearing as Byron lays a foundation

Sheffield Tigers and their director of rugby Jack Howieson faced an early setback four weeks into pre-season when head coach Mark Luffman left to join Women’s Premiership side Sale Sharks.
In his place, Tigers promoted Adam Byron, the team’s backs coach and former head coach of Rotherham Titans.
Despite the disrupted pre-season, Byron has Sheffield Tigers sitting in third place in National Two North and Howieson is delighted with the team’s start to the season.
