LYMM earned maximum points as a fourtry display edged them past a spirited Hull Ionians side.
Ionians’ Lewis Minikin opened the scoring with a penalty, swifty wiped out by a composed drop goal from Thomas Shard. Minikin, though, restored his side’s three-point lead with another penalty shortly after.
Shard then accelerated away, converting his own try to put Lymm 10-6 up.
