Davidson breaks Lymm hearts with late strike

NATIONAL Two North newcomers Lymm were denied an opening day win as Wharfedale fly-half Robert Davidson stepped up with ice in his veins to slot a matchwinning 80thminute conversion.
The home side got off to the best possible start by taking the lead inside the opening minute as Cormac Nolan took advantage of a penalty to slot three points.
But Dale settled their nerves and hit back after 14 minutes as Jack Pinder scored an unconverted try.
