Hull Ionians came out on top after an entertaining game produced 18 tries at Harrogate.
Harrogate were first off the mark when Ben Raubitschek scored in the second minute, converted by Rory Macnab.
Ionians responded with two quick tries, from Ben Bell in the fifth minute and Alex Campbell in the eighth. Both were converted by Lewis Minikin.
