While much of this season has been an uphill struggle for the once-mighty Rotherham Titans, it’s nothing to compare to the mountainous challenge club chairman Nick Cragg is preparing to undertake next week.
Starting on Thursday, the 73-year-old will attempt to climb to Everest Base Camp, a 16-day trek at extreme altitude, in order to raise money for PHASE Worldwide.
Cragg has been training hard in the gym and he and his six-strong support team hope to raise £30,000.
PHASE Worldwide has helped to change the lives of hundreds of thousands of people across Nepal through its integrated and sustainable programmes, supporting people in some of the most remote and rural communities across the country.
Cragg is one of the charity’s co-founders and has been a trustee since its inception since 2005.
