Chester just had enough to take the honours in a very close contest.
Tynedale took the lead with a Jake Rodgers’ penalty after seven minutes before he crossed for a try and added the conversion,
But Chester hit back as Jorge Lewtas crossed for a try and Liam Reeve converted.
They then began to dominate and led 21- 13 at the break after Gethin Long finished off a fast move for Reeve to add the extras.
After a slow start to the second period, Long added another fastpaced try to give his side a 13-point lead.
