Hoppers hold on for a vital victory

In a stop-start game littered with penalties, Hoppers managed to hold on for an important win.
The Tigers started the stronger, but Ben Pearson put the hosts ahead with a penalty after five minutes and as Hoppers took advantage of a succession of penalties the ball was released from a five-metre scrum drive and centre Jacob Browne went under the posts for a converted try.
After end-to-end play, Hoppers started to infringe and Mark Ireland kicked a penalty to put the Tigers on the board.
