TYNEDALE just shaded the North East derby to give captain Matty Outson a fitting send-off at Tynedale Park after 13 years of playing first team for the club.
The hosts started the game quickly, with Ben Bell scoring unopposed in the corner.
Blaydon’s shaky start was then compounded when Cooney and Clarkson were sin-binned, with Tynedale taking full advantage for Todhunter to touch down.
And minutes later Rob Parker broke to the 22 fed Will Miller to score to make it 17-0.
