HARROGATE emerged victorious after winning this basement battle.
The visitors broke the deadlock when Jack Haydock gathered a loose ball and fended off some poor Blaydon defence to score. Kit Keith converted.
But Blaydon hit back as good handling in the backs released Dan Marshall to score, with Jonny Dowell, who was making his Blaydon debut, adding the extras.
Harrogate regained the lead from a line-out which led to a catch and drive score for Steven Maycock.
