SHEFFIELD captain Mark Ireland hailed his team for fronting up in an excellent victory.
The hosts played the wet and windy conditions well in a victory secured by tries from props Nicholas Bingham and Will Bennett and full-back Greg Mellor, plus the boot of Ireland himself, who kicked three conversions and two penalties.
Ireland believes his men met the physical challenge posed by Luctonians, so earning their tries the hard way.
