ON a very cold day, Chester visited Avery Fields for the first time and got off to a near-perfect start as stand-off Liam Reeve bagged two early penalty chances.
Chester had first use of a strong wind and Bourns had to run the ball as kicking was a lottery. Just as the first quarter was ending, Chester turned defence into attack and fluffed a two-on-one, but Reeve slotted the penalty advantage and made it 9-0.
