LUCTONIANS held out for a hard-fought victory at Blaydon.
Despite the long journey north, they were soon into their stride and opened the scoring after 14 minutes when Owen Harriot-Davis crossed.
The visitors made it 14-0 after an interception in the Blaydon back line resulted in Tom Smith finishing off. Both tries were converted by inspirational Owen Randell.
Blaydon finally woke up and Phil Brantingham crossed for a try on his debut and Horsfall landed the conversion.
