HULL had their superior pack and a strong second half to thank as they ground out a narrow victory over Wharfedale.
The hosts played the first 40 against a strong breeze and had No.8 Latu Maakafiyellow carded for a high tackle but held the deficit to just two penalties.
Both sides were keen to move the ball, but two good defences were hard to break down.
After ten minutes Wharfedale’s fly half Jack Blakeney-Edwards kicked a good penalty to put his side ahead.
