HUDDERSFIELD came to Paton Field with the singular objective of upsetting Caldy’s perfect record, but the hosts answered all questions asked of them as they made it a lucky 13 on the bounce.
A poor box kick from Caldy gave the visitors the perfect start with a try from their impressive No. 8 Lewis Bradley after only two minutes with full-back Will Milner converting.
Caldy should have hit back quickly but all their possession and field position came to nothing as Huddersfield scrapped, harried and disrupted to nullify the home side’s advantage.
