THE stellar kicking performance of Owen Waters proved the difference as Loughborough Students edged past Sedgley Park to close the gap on their fourth-placed rivals.
Sedgely took the lead early on through an Oli Glasse penalty but the Students regained control, putting the visitors under large pressure throughout the opening exchanges.
After an Owen Waters penalty, Bamidele Fadahunsi and Will Kaye combined superbly for the first try on 24 minutes to open up early daylight.
