Penalty tries are costly for Greens

SCUNTHORPE were well beaten by Wharfedale, despite taking an early lead through home debutant James Walker.
Good ball retention saw Walker scramble over for an unconverted try but that was as good as it got for the hosts.
Wharfedale came back at the Greens and were camped in their 22 for several minutes, as only some resolute home defence kept them out. The penalty count was keeping the visitors in the game and one such penalty was converted into a try by the Dalesmen as they drove their forwads towards the Scunthorpe try line.
