JAMIE Broadley put in a man-of-the-match performance as Sheffield Tigers battled their way to an opening day win against Chester.
The host pack stood up well against the far beefier Chester eight and their backs made the difference with bags of incredible pace and precision when the chances presented themselves.
Broadley opened the scoring at Dore Moor after just five minutes, but flyhalf Mark Ireland unfortunately could not add the difficult conversion.
