THIS Yorkshire derby was a tale of contrasting fortunes each side of the interval.
Nearly all the action was at the river end.
Huddersfield had the greater share of territory and possession in the first half before Wharfedale took over after the turnround.
Elliott Spiers crossed for Field’s first score, but Chris Johnson fell short with the conversion.
They extended the lead to 12 points with a Jack Maplesden try, converted by Johnson.
Dale hit back with an interception by Harry Bullough, who ran the ball in from 65 metres.
