WARREN Spragg admitted his team were not good enough as Fylde suffered an agonising blow to their promotion hopes.
“We lost the battle at the breakdown”, said Spragg.
“They were much more effective in that area. We couldn’t win any possession or force any turnovers. Their front seven got some good turnovers and were much more streetwise.”
Fylde entered the game as top points scorers in the division but were suffocated by a rugged Chester defence that ranks first.
