SOUTH Leicester secured their fifth win of the season thanks to a lastminute try from Joe McMenamin.

James Neal gave the hosts the lead in the sixth minute when he gathered a William Cave kick.

Hinckley hit back immediately however through a rolling maul, Aaron Philip emerging with the ball before they went the length of the pitch for Calum Dacey to score.

South composed themselves and returned to the Hinckley half as Robert Povey kicked a penalty, which was cancelled out by Joe Wilson two minutes later.

Another Povey penalty shrank Hinckley's lead to just four points at the break.

The visitors' sevenpoint lead was restored two minutes into the second half through Wilson's boot.

Matthew Cooke showed terrific pace down the right wing to score his side's second try and level the game.

Joviah Pohe gave South the lead for the first time since the start of the match before Hinckley wrenched back their advantage through Ollie Poavas.

But South piled on the pressure and were rewarded in dramatic fashion when McMenamin crossed to snatch victory from the jaws of defeat.
