CHESTERsecured another vital win in the promotion chase after convincingly beaten Macclesfield 43-20.
It was the visitors who struck first with a try through Charlie Warren after only five minutes, but the following half an hour firmly belonged to the host.
After 17 minutes, second row Richard Cottrell crossed for Chester with centre James Robbins on target with the conversion. Five minutes later, hooker Alick Croft then crossed for another converted try as the home side stretched their advantage.
