TYNEDALE did enough to record back to back wins for the first time this season, despite cold conditions making for a scrappy encounter.
Centre Guy Pike pounced to score after a Matty Outson kick was dropped behind the try line after two minutes.
Four minutes later, Tynedale failed to find touch, and the ball was run back at them for winger Sam Benjamin to equalise.
The Lions went ahead on 18 minutes when a lofted pass was intercepted by Alex Wilcockson on halfway, and the full-back raced through to score.
