Macc’s attack is a danger but Dale survive

ON A sunny but breezy afternoon at the Avenue, Wharfedale ran out winners in a closely fought and entertaining game.
Macclesfield opened the scoring when Nicolo Nyemba crossed for a try, converted by Thomas Morton. But a knock on from the restart gave Dale field position and Sam Gaudie sniped over for an unconverted try.
The home side took the lead when George Hedgley went over after good work.
The Blues came back strong with another converted try from Sam Parry.
Solid forward play from Wharfedale then laid the platform for Oliver Cicognini to score out wide.
