Hoppers back on winning trail after slugfest

IN A hotly-contested game, Preston Grasshoppers overcame Macclesfield to end their run of defeats.
Macclesfield started the brighter by having early control of the ball and took the lead through Tom Morton’s penalty.
Hoppers began to find their feet and gain some rhythm, with Rouban Birch leading the charge, and were rewarded for their efforts as Luke Procter went over the line to give them the lead.
Hoppers lineout was a cause for concern and Macc had another penalty opportunity but this was missed by Morton.
