Substance over style for Ionians

HULL Ionians emerged victorious from this tight, tetchy Yorkshire derby between two sides more intent on not losing than fashioning a win.
A 3-0 scoreline at half time exemplified the determination of both sides not to concede an advantage, though Wharfedale had seen more of the ball.
Wharfedale finally broke the deadlock when they were able to create an overlap, despite the suspicion of blocking, to put winger Ryan Hamilton over in the corner.
