SALE secured the National League Two North title with a bonus-point win away to Leicester Lions.
The visitors were made to work hard for the victory however as the Lions dotted down almost immediately.
Thomas Aviss spotted a gap down the Sale wing and crossed for the first try inside the first minute while Christopher Johnson pushed a penalty to the right of the post for Sale three minutes later.
