SALE returned to the top of the league after Sedgley Park’s win on Friday night with a comfortable victory over Macclesfield.
The home side started the better, but had nothing to show for it as Sale defended the phases and forced the mistake. When Sale finally got some ball they generated space out wide as their backs got the ball past the defenders with some fine decoy runners.
