LEICESTER Lions came out on top in a high-scoring affair against Wharfedale.
Alex Wilcockson opened the scoring after two minutes with a super try from his own 10m line, before Jon Boden nudged a penalty after 12 minutes.
The pressure from Lions sparked Wharfedale into life and the Lions’ defence broke after ten minutes in the own 22m with George Hedgley the scorer.
Wharfedale scored again after great link play between Thomas Barrett and Robert Davidson, with the former crossing.
