THREE tries helped Wharfedale secure a much-needed victory away to Blaydon.
Wharfedale took a firm grip of this game in the opening quarter when their pack established utter control, both in the scrums and in the loose, to run in 17 points unanswered.
The home side were repeatedly penalised and did well to survive two rolling mauls and two short scrums but by the 10th minute, the referee had had enough and a penalty try was awarded.
