SHEFFIELD Tigers were blown away at a windswept Tynedale, where the rampant hosts ran in 11 tries.
The Yorkshire side looked good going forward, but their porous defence was torn apart by the Northumbrians’ razor-sharp attack.
Playing with the wind at their backs, the Tigers took an early lead with a Mark Ireland penalty, but Tynedale hit back with a try by flanker Nick Cairns on nine minutes. Ash Smith converted before adding the extras to a try of his own on 16 minutes.
