SHEFFIELD’S improving mid-season was given a major boost with a welldeserved win over local rivals Sheffield Tigers.
In a high-tempo game, both sides put the season of goodwill on hold for 80 minutes to serve up some entertaining fare with the hosts eventually edging it thanks to two tries in the final quarter.
Sheffield began the game brightest following a yellow card for Tigers prop Liam Wallace and, after only three minutes, Steve Depledge slotted a penalty for a 3-0 advantage.
But all his side’s good work was undone...
