IT’S never been necessary to rouse the players, or supporters, for this local derby but the fact that both sides are fighting for survival lifted this encounter to spectacular heights.
The crowd of over 1,100 fully entered into the spirit as this game ebbed and flowed.
Otley came out purposefully, gaining an early scrum on the Wharfedale line for scrum-half Joe Rowntree to scamper over.
But the visitors settled in with an effective kicking game allied to robust chasing and on 14 minutes fly-half Tom Barrett was given an easy penalty...
