MACCLESFIELD came into this off the back of three straight defeats and found themselves in the unfamiliar surroundings of the bottom half as Sheffield had the same record, two wins from six.
The visitors scored first in a first half that defied belief. Sheffield scored six tries which were almost all from home side mistakes, that the electric Chris Pond and Jamie Broadley ran back thorugh gaping gaps.
