TYNEDALE made it five wins on the bounce as they maintained their 100 per cent start to the season, seeing off one of the pre-season favourites.
Centre Ash Smith set the ball rolling with a fourth-minute penalty, before winger Guy Pike ran in two tries in four minutes, one converted, to give Tynedale a 15-0 lead by the 15th minute.
The Tigers came roaring back, prop Ben Black touching down from a catch and drive on 24 minutes, but Tynedale hit back three minutes later with a Smith try to make it 22-5.
