LUCTONIANS secured a hard-fought victory with a dogged performance against winless Wharfedale at Mortimer Park in front of a vibrant home crowd.
The opening quarter was closely matched, with Lucs having the lion’s share of the possession but no points for their endeavours.
They were eventually rewarded when Dale were penalised for collapsing a scrum in front of the posts, Louis Silver kicking the points.
