CHESTER’S substitute fly-half Callum Bennett kicked a late penalty to secure a narrow home victory over Macclesfield.
The hosts started poorly after Sam Broster got in to score for the visitors out wide after three minutes.
Two tries in two minutes nevertheless put Chester in front as some crisp offloading allowed Sean Green to touch down before Freeman Payne dived over.
