SEDGLEY Park survived a late Sale rally as they secured an eight-point victory in Manchester.
Full-back Andrew Riley was the key man for the hosts, scoring all but five of their points as he crossed twice and kicked three conversions in a fine individual display.
It was Sale who landed the first blow, however, as the opened up an early three-point lead through the boot of Christopher Johnson. But Riley raced over minutes later for his first try, and made no mistake with the extras to make it 7-3.
