Defeated Dale fail to quell Chester charge

TRIES from Freeman Payne, James Preston and Alexander Reed ensured Chester kept up their fine form in 2017 with a hard-fought win over Wharfedale at Hare Lane.
The win makes it nine victories in 12 games for Chester since the new year as Wharfedale could only come away with a losing bonus point.
It took just two minutes for Chester to open the scoring as Payne was on hand to cross after captain David Ford had started a move by releasing Preston with an offload.
