Murphy off as Stour slump to Sale loss

STOURBRIDGE director of rugby Neil Mitchell admitted his side’s season was effectively over after they were taken apart in the first half by second-placed Sale FC.
This defeat also saw Stour’s proud ten-match unbeaten home record brought to a halt while slipping 15 points adrift of Sale in the process.
In a match that Stour simply had to win to keep their play-off prospects alive, they were instead second best to Sale throughout the first 40 minutes and found themselves 22-0 down by the break.
