BARNES shrugged the memory of recent lastgasp defeats as they claimed a see-saw victory over Havant.
In the first 40 minutes, Barnes were uncharacteristically sloppy with too many errors in the lineout and with poor handling too.
With 25 minutes gone, Havant broke the deadlock through Jack Phillips’s try and a Jacob Knight penalty made it 8-0 at the break.
