CANTERBURY just did enough in the tightest of contests.
Early dominance from the hosts led to Havant giving away penalties and a three-point lead through Frank Reynolds’ boot.
Havant then came back into the game by putting phases together and with strong offloads scored in a corner.
Canterbury then responded well with a good maul try and a good conversion.
Some poor discipline then allowed Havant back into the game with a try under the posts taking the game to 12-10 to Havant.
