Hawks…….43 Westcombe P………26

HENLEY Hawks put together an excellent all-round performance to come away with a try-bonus-point win against a tough Westcombe Park side.

Istok Totic bagged a brace for the home side, while a hat-trick for Combe captain Nick Cook meant the visitors also registered a try-bonus point for their efforts.

Henley drew first blood after Totic powered over from a wellworked driving maul. This was closely followed by Cook's first for Combe – a fantastic solo effort.

A Toby Evans break was well finished by Ryan Crowley to extend the Hawks lead before Max Titchener's penalty pulled Henley two scores clear. A try from Kaspar Strugar and a sensational solo effort from George Wood gave Henley a 29-5 half-time lead.

Cook was the first to pounce on a loose ball early in the second half to narrow the gap before Totic grabbed a second following another driving maul to seal the contest for Henley.

Captain Cook capped a fine display with his third before Will Crow scored Henley's sixth following an excellent Sam Lunnon break.

Jonathan Ilori's fine effort on the stroke of full-time earned Combe their bonus.
