Success is addictive, and once a team has had a taste of it, they can become preoccupied with chasing the phantoms of victories past.
Sam Morley, fly-half for an Esher side relegated from National League One last season, knows well the difficulties that such a mindset can bring.
After a disappointing seasoning-opening loss to Barnes, Morley and his teammates realised that a new perspective was needed.
