SEVENOAKS defended superbly to stave off a Canterbury comeback in the opening match of the season.
The visitors had much of the early possession, but failed to convert that into points.
A couple of pens from Ben Adams chalked up the first points of the season for Sevenoaks.
Canterbury responded by putting together a number of phases before a catchand-drive from a lineout put them beneath the posts and repeated infringements from Oaks resulted in a penalty try.
