Old Albanians……..26
Dorking…………………36
Dorking took the honours with a hard-fought win at Old Albanians, who are continuing to frustrate their fans on their own patch.
The visitors took the lead when the ball was moved out to Austin Emens to score. Henry Anscombe converted from the corner.
The hosts hit back as Nathan Mitchellow scored from a tap penalty, and Thomas Elliot converted.
OA were then guilty of errors which led to tries.
First, Emens scored his second, before Tom Baldwin skilfully picked up the ball to score, despite the Dorking scrum going backwards.
The home side then responded with a try for John Kenward to make it 14-21 at half-time.
Two quick OA tries at the start of the second half for Dan Lilley and the conversions made it 21-21, but that was as close as OA got.
Dorking fly-half Ramsden immediately replied and extended the lead after 60 minutes through Max Sheldrake.
The game then drifted as both teams struggled to go through multiple phases, and Dorking took a penalty opportunity after 77 minutes to secure the game.
OA continued playing until the end and were rewarded with a lastminute bonus-point try by Kaz Henderson.
