PERSISTENCE won the day for Lions against an OAs side whose powerful pack and excellent defence made the home side fight all the way for their victory.
Lions played up the slope in the first half, but with the wind. Careless play by OAs gave Lions two penalties slotted between the posts by Ben Young.
