HAWKS overcame a gritty Canterbury side in a committed contest.
Both sides scored two tries but this game won’t stay long in the memory of the 285 hardy souls who ventured to Dry Leas. Canterbury opened the scoring when wing Dwayne Corcoran crossed the for the first of his two tries. The Hawks responded with good drives from Tom Hall and Sam Lunnon and gained momentum. After two penalties, second row Ben Harrison finished off a driving maul that Cail Cookland converted from the touchline.
